my answer to that question was... loose connective tissue appears more cellular due to the amount of immune cells present. I guess the more dense a CT tissue becomes. it doesnt have a lot of room for cells because its filled with collagen etc... I dont really know if thats right though, this is just what i was thinking at the time.
Thanks Elise, I was thinking something along the same lines but not sure if it is correct.
I am going through questions from the practice exam now. Here are some from immunology section I am not too sure about. Hope someone may have some answers. Q8 Which of the following is an example of specific immune response and Q10 Receiving an immunisation with an altered form of the tetanus toxin results in... I answered that one C but not sure if "altered" in the question may make it a trick question or if tetanus injection is always altered tetanus toxin. In this case my answer is incorrect.
Hi Elise You are on the right track. The only other thing I would add is that loose connective tissue makes it easy for infection to spread when compared with dense connective tissue. For this reason there are more immune cells present in loose connective tissue than there are in dense. Hope this helps

Thanks Sophie for the clarification, it makes much more sense now.
